MINISTRIES of CHBC
DEACON & DEACONESS CARE MINISTRY
The Deacon & Deaconess Care Ministry is responsible for ministering to
the needs of the members of CHBC. Members of this ministry are
responsible for leading new converts through discipleship training
classes. On the recommendation of the Pastor and by vote of the church
membership, both men and women serve in this very important area of
ministry. Members of this ministry are appointed to serve no more than
two consecutive three year terms.
TRUSTEE MINISTRY
The Trustee Ministry is responsible for maintaining the church's
property, both real and personal. On the recommendation of the Pastor
and vote of the church membership, the Trustees of CHBC are appointed to
serve no more than two (2) consecutive three (3) year terms.
USHER MINISTRY
The Usher Ministry attends to the needs of the congregation at all
public worship services. Men, women, and children are active in this
ministry.
MUSIC MINSTRY
The Music Ministry provides uplifting music for the congregation at all
public worship services. This ministry includes musicians, mass choir,
youth choir, men's chorus, and youth praise dancers.
TAKING IT PUBLIC (TIP)
The Taking It Public Ministry is the mission ministry of the church. It
consists of both teenagers and adults. The purpose of this ministry is
to carry the witness of Jesus Christ Into the community.
THE EDUCATION MINISTRY
The Education Ministry is responsible for equipping the membership with
the word of God. This ministry sponsors church school classes, vacation
Bible school, and other opportunities for spiritual growth through the
study of God's word.
THE LIFE LINE MINISTRY
The Life Line Ministry teaches individuals the art of winning others to
Jesus Christ. Persons are selected for participation in this ministry.
In order to remain in the Life Line Ministry a person must win at least
one person to Christ a year.
THE MEN’S BIBLE INSTITUTE
The Men's Bible Institute (MBI) provides opportunities for men to
experience spiritual growth through a structured study of God's word.
Men of the church and community are allowed to take part in this
ministry.
THE WOMEN’S BIBLE INSTITUTE
The Women's Bible Institute (WBI) provides opportunities for women to
experience spiritual growth through a structured study of God's word.
Women of the church and community are allowed to take part in this
ministry.
THE AEROBICS MINISTRY
The Aerobics Ministry allows both men and women to engage in
cardiovascular group exercises, which will improve one's physical health
and overall well being.
THE NURSES MINISTRY
The Nurses Ministry serves the needs of the congregation at all public
worship services, along with attending to the needs of the pulpit. In
addition, they also sponsor wellness seminars to promote healthy living.
THE NEWSLETTER MINISTRY
The Church's Newsletter staff produces a newsletter, which includes
information of interests to the members of the church and community. The
newsletter is called the Christian Chronicle.
THE HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
The Hospitality Ministry is responsible for catering delicious meals for
special services throughout the year, as well as assisting families
during funerals.
THE YOUTH MINISTRY
The Youth Ministry provides recreational opportunities for children and
teenagers of the church. They participate in group outings at selected
times during the year.
THE OUTREACH MINISTRY
The Outreach Ministry is responsible for coordinating all activities of
the church, and is responsible for monitoring the church's outreach
efforts into the community.
THE AUDIO MINISTRY
The Audio Ministry ensures that the sound system is working properly and
provides cassette recordings of all public worship services for purchase
by the general public.
THE VAN MINISTRY
The Van Ministry provides transportation services to and from public
worship services for those who lack transportation.
THE SOFTBALL MINISTRY
The Softball Ministry is a co-ed team, consisting of church members. The
team competes against other churches within the community.
THE WOMEN’S CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
The Women's Christian Fellowship allows women of the church to engage in
spiritual growth and Christian fellowship with one another.
THE MEN’S CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
The Men's Christian Fellowship allows men of the church to engage in
spiritual growth and Christian fellowship with one another.
THE PASTORAL CARE MINISTRY
This Ministry is responsible for ensuring that there is an adequate
compensation package and that the church is meeting the financial needs
of the Office of the Pastor.
THE PUBLIC INFORMATION TEAM (PIT) MINISTRY
The Public Information Team (PIT) is responsible for making information
available to the general public concerning upcoming church events.
THE ACTING GUILD MINISTRY
The Acting Guild Ministry presents plays for the spiritual enjoyment of
both the church and community. Each year the Acting Guild presents a
Christmas Play.
THE GOLDEN AGE MINISTRY
The Golden Age Ministry is a ministry primarily for seniors. It allows
seniors an opportunity to fellowship with each other in a Christian
atmosphere.
